the beach, ice cream and a cute bikini is all i need

i love the beach. i love the smell of the ocean and wish that i could bottle it up and bring it around with me 24/7. there's definitely nothing more relaxing than just sitting on a sunny beach with glorious white sand and bright blue, clear sea water right in front of you. the sea breeze in your hair and a nice cold treat in your hand as you lie there basking in the natural sunlight with cool designer shades (karen walker!) and a really really really cute bikini. after all, it is important to look on point all the time. you never know who you might run into *wink wink*

nowadays there are so many different types of bikinis out there that it can sometimes be hard to choose the best one for yourself. so here i am with this post to share with all you beach loving girls like me, my top 3 favourite bikini styles.

the first type is a ruffled bikini. this type of bikini can help portray a feminine side to you and for all you flat girls (there's no shame in being flat by the way), you can play the ruffles trick by wearing this to make your chest look a bit fuller than normal. i can bet with you that the ruffles bikini will get you a lot of attention as you sit on the beach sipping on a nice glass of iced peach tea.

these are some examples of my ideal type of ruffle bikinis. the last one brings me to my second favourite type of bikinis. neon coloured bikinis! a neon coloured bikini (just like in the previous picture) is perfect if you want all eyes on you while you're at the beach. neon colours are extremely hot during the summer so you'll definitely be on track with the season's hottest colours.

lastly, if you'd rather lay low but still want to look good enough to catch some envious stares, a patterned bikini will do the trick. you can pick any pattern like floral, aztec, geometric, etc. based on your own personal style. with a patterned bikini, you'll be able to look innocent yet playful.

so there you go. by choosing the right bikini, you'll be able to enjoy that beach holiday of yours while feeling stunning, refreshed, and confident. a great place that i shop for my bikinis is at this website called zalora because they have a huge range of collections by local or international brands for me to choose from in getting a bikini for women online. i really love shopping at zalora in general because they not only have amazing stuff from clothes to makeup but they also have shipping that is affordable and not crazy expensive like some other websites that i've visited. pricey shipping fees are usually a turn off for me and most of the time change my mind when buying something online. so yeah, you guys should really check them out. that's all for now. hope you follow my tips in choosing a cute bikini for yourself and if you're going to the beach soon for a vacation trip, i hope you have fun and you should know that i envy you so much.

this is a rather cute yet stylish look that i came up with. if you've read my previous post / seen my last polyvore set, you'll know about my love for monochrome stuff and grid patterns. this grid dress from topshop is super cute yet it has a clean cut look which i adore. the windsor smith white leather flats really add to this look by making it classy yet still casual. for accessories, light pale pink just screams cuteness factor. this pink charles & keith purse is super duper adorable with it's shape and how it's also small and easy to carry around. to match that, POM POM EARRINGS! i recently went to tokyo for my winter break and noticed this trend for pom pom accessories to be in style. i think that they're not only quirky and unique but also adorable to the max. i didn't get a pair there because they were crazy expensive for just a pair of earring but i'll get them here at my local mall the next time i go there. lastly, these karen walker shades are TO-DIE-FOR! sadly they cost a fortune even for something second hand :(

i really like this look and i might try to shop it if i can since most of the pieces are pretty affordable. also, i'll be blogging about my tokyo trip after christmas so stay tuned :)

hello hello! lately i've been so in love with this trend of oversized big coats that you have no idea. i'm dying to own a coat like the one in this collage but sadly i live in a country that only has summer all year round :'( i would also love to wear turtle necks all the time as they're so cute but the weather just isn't in my favour on this one. also, grid patterned clothing has really caught my interest such as the skirt in the above collage. the other day, i saw some extra cool grid patterned pants from topshop that would go excellent with little black leather boots. pointy toed boots are also my new favourites as they give off a sort of chic impression that you're some high fashion mogul that is ready to rule the world with your killa' style. lastly, cute round shades and cute leather backpacks are always a yes. one extra tip: if you're dressing in all black and white (monochrome), don't forget to top it off with an accessory with a colour that stands out to make your look pop!

am i losing my mind (again)?

hello world!

i've disappeared from the blogging world for quite some time now but i'm back. i won't be posting regularly like before though since i'm extremely busy with school and other stuff but you should be able to hear from me every once in a while. also i apologize for procrastinating on my long overdue haul post. i promise that i'll get that up whenever i can.

school has just been hitting me like a ton of bricks lately. what with it being a new school and all that with completely new people from different backgrounds and cultures. it's been kinda hard to adapt. especially since i'm sort of an introvert which means that i'm not very sociable therefore leading me to not really having any friends there. of course i have my friends from my last school and of course i have my best friend but the question is, do i really have them as much as before? sure my best friend is still going to be my best friend and she's still going to mean a lot to me but is that going to stay the same for her side? not everyone's like me where they only have a minuscule number of friends. they have other people in their lives who are more socially connected to them than i am. the problem is that even after all this time, I always tend to put someone who treats me as a no. 2 as my no. 1 and it's pretty pathetic really.

i'm mostly just pissed at how all my friendships are all such failures. i've had hairs that are longer than all of my friendships. it honestly kind of sucks when you used to be so close with someone and how they were so important to you but now you’re no longer as important to them as they are to you and it just sucks because you’re putting in so much effort and all they’re doing is forgetting you even more. this is why i'm learning to rely on my own company rather than the company of others. i shouldn't feel the need to rely on other people to feel "happy". i don't need another person's company. of course it would be nice to have it but it shouldn't be a necessity to me. i'm still learning and it's been really difficult but as they always say, the road to self love is never an easy one.

i guess lately i'm just sort of passive and quiet about my feelings since i don't really have anyone to talk to. i'm not at a close enough level with my current classmates to actually talk about deep stuff like feelings and i'm no longer close enough with my old friends to talk about them either. they all have their own lives anyway and their own people in their lives that are more important than i am.

i really don't want this to come off as a stupid immature rant about how i'm just a silly girl that thinks the world should revolve around me but it's how i feel and i feel that i should have the power to express my feelings. i've had a lot bottled up inside of me for quite some time now. school work and tests have been bothering me and i haven't had friends to talk to about them in much detail. i haven't been doing all that well academically either. it just feels like everything's going downhill and i just need to keep a strong face and pretend that everything's okay while trying to fix it as much as possible. i have to fight my battles alone anyway. this is the real world.
