all you need is love

i never really understood the purpose of sending anon hate to someone. i mean, what benefit does it even have on anybody? go outside, go talk to the plants, go pet your dog, or maybe even call your dad and apologize for being such a disappointment. take your negativity somewhere else please, don't attack someone else with it.

quite a number of people i know receive anon hate. some of them actually get it on a regular basis. most of the time they know how to brush it off quite easily but it still has an impact on their self esteem even though they claim that it doesn't affect them at all.

so i think about last month i started doing this thing where i would compliment someone anonymously once a day for a certain period of time and would only reveal my true identity after i've finished my job. i've been doing this to a few people and one of them actually sort of knew that it was me but i denied it. i don't think she fully believed me though hahah.

i'm not doing this to gain anything. i just think that this is a great way to help boost other people's happiness and confidence. most of the responses to my anonymous compliments were stuff like "awwww thanks this means so much to me" or "you're so sweet. this made my day" and it's incredible how just one little compliment a day can make someone feel so much better.

there's too much hate being spread on the internet and nowhere near enough love. just by doing this makes me feel proud that i managed to make someone feel better about themselves and it doesn't matter whether they know if it's from me or not. more people should really send more anon love rather than pointless anon hate.
