i'm not dead yet

as you can tell from the title,

i'm not dead yet!

it's clearly been a while since i've blogged because i've been so busy these past few months. balancing off school and a social life is so hard i don't even know how some people do it like, jesus christ, do you practice black magic or something?

anyway back to things, i've been feeling a lot better than how i was feeling from my last post so, yeah. i guess that's good. i've been writing on my wattpad account but not very often because i barely have the time. in case you all didn't know, wattpad is a website for aspiring authors to share their work and read stories by other people too. i enjoy writing but i don't think i would choose to become a writer. i've always wanted to be a graphic designer since i was nine and my dream is to study graphic designing in new york city. i know that it won't be easy but i'm willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that dream. i might take writing as my second major but it's still too early to decide. i'll still keep that option open though ☺

if anyone is interested in checking out my wattpad, just click here. i'd really appreciate it if you could read my story "the writer" and tell me what you think.

other than wattpad, i've also been active on other social media sites like twitter and tumblr. i don't think i can live without both of them especially my tumblr. tumblr is my life, okay? if you wanna follow me on tumblr click here. i run a fashion//vogue tumblr blog ♡

i also make playlists on 8tracks. i even made a new one today called "get your skates and lets go". i made the cover myself. give it a listen and tell me what you think. i like making 8tracks mixes but the only problem is that they take too much time to make. my original plan was to make two today but my first one already took about two hours just to finish so i guess maybe next time instead.

in the non internet world,

i've been reading some new books lately instead of just rereading my old favourites. previously before school reopened, i finished reading the divergent trilogy and the last book, allegiant, killed me. and when i say kill, i mean that the book literally ripped my heart out and stabbed it 2000 times. but it was a really good book despite all the heartbreak that made me cry so hard until my mom had to come check on me in the middle of the night because she said that she heard animal noises. it was SO good that i had a book hangover for months just because of it and i couldn't really focus on reading any other book because my mind kept wandering back to allegiant. but i got over it now so yay!

i read quite a few books so far this year. two by haruki murakami that were definitely worth mentioning here.

my favourite is "kafka on the shore". it's honestly one of the best books that i've read in a long time. even better than "the perks of being a wallflower" although i wasn't fully comfortable reading it because of the smut (which there was a hell a lot of it). i've been wanting to read murakami's works for a long time because i've heard people complimenting him on his work and he didn't disappoint at all. the way he writes is incredible and his story lines aren't predictable at all and cliche which is just the type of things that i like in a story.

he uses a lot of metaphors with deep meaning that leave you mind blown. he writes with perfect description and when you read his writing, you can actually feel yourself transported into the story. it's perfect and i don't regret a thing. i rate it a 10/10 because perfection.

i'm currently reading "norwegian wood" at the moment. the writing is just as good but the story isn't really as unique as "kafka on the shore" but it's still good. there aren't many natural english writers that can even write as well as haruki murakami who writes in japanese and has his stories translated so i'm really impressed.

after i'm done with "norwegian wood", i'm planning on reading "blind woman, sleeping willow" next and maybe buy "the wind up bird chronicle" that is also by him. you can say that i'm clearly a huge fan of his work now.

other than reading, i've also been eating a lot but hey, what's new? hahaha. i love good food and i love to eat it. i've been mega obsessed with avocados lately because i swear they're so good. i've been bringing one to school everyday. people always look at me but whatever, i don't care. they're just jelly because i have a delicious avocado and they don't. and i've been bringing pastries from bakeries to school every day too. just the other day i had a wonderful cream puff from komugi bakery and i swear i saw the face of god when i took the first bite and when the cream came oozing out. it wasn't as good as the ones that i had when in japan but close enough.

and i can tell that i'm definitely going to look like a ball soon because of all this sweet food that i've been eating. just like how the other day i had spanish food for dinner at estilos with my family and then right after had dessert at salon du chocalat where we had a brownie crepe and molten chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream.

would you look at all the calories
it's okay though... i go jogging every saturday now so i guess it's okay to binge out just this once haha.

well i guess that's all for now so bye xx

PS.   listen to ellie goulding's cover of all i want by kodaline because it's fucking beautiful and if you haven't heard it yet then you're clearly missing out, child.
