the beach, ice cream and a cute bikini is all i need
i love the beach. i love the smell of the ocean and wish that i could bottle it up and bring it around with me 24/7. there's definitely nothing more relaxing than just sitting on a sunny beach with glorious white sand and bright blue, clear sea water right in front of you. the sea breeze in your hair and a nice cold treat in your hand as you lie there basking in the natural sunlight with cool designer shades (karen walker!) and a really really really cute bikini. after all, it is important to look on point all the time. you never know who you might run into *wink wink*
nowadays there are so many different types of bikinis out there that it can sometimes be hard to choose the best one for yourself. so here i am with this post to share with all you beach loving girls like me, my top 3 favourite bikini styles.
the first type is a ruffled bikini. this type of bikini can help portray a feminine side to you and for all you flat girls (there's no shame in being flat by the way), you can play the ruffles trick by wearing this to make your chest look a bit fuller than normal. i can bet with you that the ruffles bikini will get you a lot of attention as you sit on the beach sipping on a nice glass of iced peach tea.

these are some examples of my ideal type of ruffle bikinis. the last one brings me to my second favourite type of bikinis. neon coloured bikinis! a neon coloured bikini (just like in the previous picture) is perfect if you want all eyes on you while you're at the beach. neon colours are extremely hot during the summer so you'll definitely be on track with the season's hottest colours.
lastly, if you'd rather lay low but still want to look good enough to catch some envious stares, a patterned bikini will do the trick. you can pick any pattern like floral, aztec, geometric, etc. based on your own personal style. with a patterned bikini, you'll be able to look innocent yet playful.
so there you go. by choosing the right bikini, you'll be able to enjoy that beach holiday of yours while feeling stunning, refreshed, and confident. a great place that i shop for my bikinis is at this website called zalora because they have a huge range of collections by local or international brands for me to choose from in getting a bikini for women online. i really love shopping at zalora in general because they not only have amazing stuff from clothes to makeup but they also have shipping that is affordable and not crazy expensive like some other websites that i've visited. pricey shipping fees are usually a turn off for me and most of the time change my mind when buying something online. so yeah, you guys should really check them out. that's all for now. hope you follow my tips in choosing a cute bikini for yourself and if you're going to the beach soon for a vacation trip, i hope you have fun and you should know that i envy you so much.

sundays with friends
Karen Walker glitter glasses
shop-hers.com
this is a rather cute yet stylish look that i came up with. if you've read my previous post / seen my last polyvore set, you'll know about my love for monochrome stuff and grid patterns. this grid dress from topshop is super cute yet it has a clean cut look which i adore. the windsor smith white leather flats really add to this look by making it classy yet still casual. for accessories, light pale pink just screams cuteness factor. this pink charles & keith purse is super duper adorable with it's shape and how it's also small and easy to carry around. to match that, POM POM EARRINGS! i recently went to tokyo for my winter break and noticed this trend for pom pom accessories to be in style. i think that they're not only quirky and unique but also adorable to the max. i didn't get a pair there because they were crazy expensive for just a pair of earring but i'll get them here at my local mall the next time i go there. lastly, these karen walker shades are TO-DIE-FOR! sadly they cost a fortune even for something second hand :(
i really like this look and i might try to shop it if i can since most of the pieces are pretty affordable. also, i'll be blogging about my tokyo trip after christmas so stay tuned :)

Forever 21 tech accessory
forever21.com
hello hello! lately i've been so in love with this trend of oversized big coats that you have no idea. i'm dying to own a coat like the one in this collage but sadly i live in a country that only has summer all year round :'( i would also love to wear turtle necks all the time as they're so cute but the weather just isn't in my favour on this one. also, grid patterned clothing has really caught my interest such as the skirt in the above collage. the other day, i saw some extra cool grid patterned pants from topshop that would go excellent with little black leather boots. pointy toed boots are also my new favourites as they give off a sort of chic impression that you're some high fashion mogul that is ready to rule the world with your killa' style. lastly, cute round shades and cute leather backpacks are always a yes. one extra tip: if you're dressing in all black and white (monochrome), don't forget to top it off with an accessory with a colour that stands out to make your look pop!

summer faves ☼
hello lovelies! i'm going to be sharing with you all about my updated beauty/fashion wish list for this post.
i've been watching a lot of fashion videos on youtube lately. and note that when i say fashion videos, i don't mean stuff like zoella or michelle phan because i find that those types of fashion videos are very.... umm.... i don't really know how to say it but it's sort of like you're just looking at things that they like and you're not venturing into your own style from watching other beauty gurus like them. i've been watching videos from fashion tv or vogue about models like lindsey wixson and alexa chung which i really just adore. so without further ado, let's start off with what's new in my beauty wish list.
beauty wish list:
1. morange by m.a.c.
this is an absolutely beautiful shade of orange by m.a.c. because it's so light and summery. it really gives a pop of colour to your face especially when you wear it with chocolatey brown eye shadow. i found out about this lipstick from watching the DSQUARED2 spring 2014 backstage video on youtube and i'm considering on recreating the look that they had on lindsey wixson for my school's prom this year. i can tell that it'll look stunning. i might substitute it for rendezvous by revlon because m.a.c. lipstick is quite pricey and the revlon one is quite reasonably priced and the quality is great too.
these are the same eyeshadows that lindsey is wearing and the same eyeshadows that they used for the DSQUARED2 spring 2014 fashion show. they mixed both these colours together for the eyes to create this beautiful chocolate look.
3. eyeko - me & my shadow (eyeshadow pencil)
eyeko has recently teamed up with alexa chung to create a whole line of beauty products. alexa uses this eyeshadow for her signature simple and clear look that i am deeply inspired by.
4. eyeko - eye do (eyeliner)
this liquid eyeliner is the key to alexa's famous cateye. i currently use another liquid eyeliner called in2it which is pretty good but a little light so i end up having to colour many layers for my cateye. this eyeliner by eyeko is extremely good quality and the ink is dark which means that you don't have to colour on so many layers. in case you're wondering why eyeko's products have such cute names, it's because when alexa herself got to name all of them when they teamed up with her.
5. rimmel moisture renew lipstick - nude delight
a perfect nude shade of lipstick that unlike other lipsticks out there, keeps your lips moisturized. i'm not sure if they sell it in my country but if they don't i'll just have to buy another brand that has a similar colour because i honestly just need this lipstick. i mean c'mon. it's perfect!
so that's all the beauty products that are currently on my wish list. i don't use foundation or concealer a lot because it clogs up your pores and it makes all my pimples come out the next morning. also they aren't good for your skin so i avoid using them as much as possible. anyway, moving onto my fashion wish list.
fashion wish list:
1. alexander wang white manuel mary jane pump
alexander wang is a fantastic designer and this mary jane pump is just super cute yet sophisticated. they have them in white, pink, and black. they cost a fortune though.... however, i'm planning on getting this look alike pair from charles & keith that i saw the other day
(^_^)☆
2. lia peekaboo blue romper
this romper is the same as the one on the left in the picture above. you can buy it from hello parry. it's still quite pricey but cheaper than buying from the actual alexander wang website. tip: use the discount code "freeshipping"
3. diamond print nude tights
super cute tights from romwe that'll go well with a my leather skater skirt and white cropped blouse from mango.
4. verge girl blue knit crop sweater
i'm a huge fan of shelby hamilton and i saw her wearing this gorgeous knit from verge girl and i fell in love. i love shelby's style and i would definitely style this sweater just like how she did with a simple denim skirt and white birkenstock sandals.
well that's about all for now. my mom just gave me a bunch of her old clothes today so maybe i'll make a haul post soon. till then, stay fab xx
